
As an award winning furniture designer Alex has created furniture and lighting for some of Europe’s leading design manufacturers such as Zanotta, Established & Sons and Classicon as well as for producers such as Thorsten van Elten, E&Y and Hitch Mylius. Award winning designs include the ‘Antlers’ coat hook -Elle Decoration ‘Home Accessory of the Year’ Award and Elle’s ‘Best in Lighting’ for the family of ‘Fold’ lamps. The Museum of Modern Art, New York has acquired Taylor’s ‘Fold’ lamp for the permanent collection. Whilst the ‘Butterfly’ table for Zanotta received the Chicago Athenaeum Museum: Good Design Award. As well as designing for manufacture, Alexander also guest lectures and has run workshops both in the UK and Internationally.

A true Renaissance man, George has enjoyed a career which has spanned Medicine, Architecture and Art History. George’s professional practice includes the making and restoration of historic architectural models which can be seen at the Victoria and Albert, the Ashmolean, the Bodleian, and the Soane Museums. With an academic teaching career of over 25 years, George has lectured in Art and Design History, University of Arts, London and has led study tours and trips abroad inspiring generations of students.

With a background in fashion and music, Lyndall trained as an interior designer and then ran her own interior design company for 8 years specializing in residential properties in central London. She is currently spends her time between professional practice and teaching as a Senior design consultant for private clients and design companies, and a lecturer at top London art and design colleges. Lyndall has over 10 years of teaching experience and specializes in running short courses in design for vocational training and professional practice.

Rihl worked in sole private practice in Brazil on commercial and residential work, and later as an Art Director in an architectural office developing set design for films and television ads for advertising business. Rihl set up his own practice, Proctor-Rihl, in 1995 together with business partner Chris Procter and have since won a Gold Medal at Chelsea Flower Show 2000, received a Royal Institute of British Architects Award 2005, and was shortlisted for; Grand Design Award 2006, BD-Residential Architect of the Year Award 2005, IV Ibero-Latin American Architecture Biennale Award 2004. Currently Rihl spends his time between professional practice and teaching and is a Senior Lecturer at Royal College of Art, London.

Kate Gibb is an influential silkscreen artist and illustrator. Having originally studied Textiles at University, she moved away from printing on fabric and now produces works mainly on paper. She is best known for her acclaimed work in the field of music design for artists including the Chemical Brothers, The Magic Numbers, Suede, Simian, My Computer and Bob Marley. Kate’s approach to the medium has more in common with painting than it does with multiple production associated with silkscreen printing. Typically she works on one off originals or very low runs of hand produced images applying layer upon layer of colour in a way that results in each print having its own unique characteristics. Professional collaborations include Saatchi & Saatchi, Fallon, JWT, 72&Sunny (LA), Stoique (Tokyo), MCBD, St Lukes, Village Green, ‘Tappin Gofton’.and most recently ‘No Days Off’. And fashion brands include ‘Dries Van Noten’, LEVIS, Lee and Adidas. Charlotte is the Creative Director of People Brands, a creative business consultancy in London. She has worked as a branding designer for the past 14 years. Skills gained during her degree at Camberwell Art College and Interior Design at Chelsea art College have enabled her to work as an integrated designer taking a brand from logo to web to interiors. As a teacher she is passionate about creative thinking and working with people to create great ideas.

Course director and best selling author of The Interior Design Course, (Thames and Hudson) Tomris initially studied Art History and Philosophy at UCL, and then went on to study Interior and Spatial Design, later specialising in leisure projects and exhibition design. She has been teaching and running vocational short courses in Interior design for nearly 10 years. In her private practice Tomris is a writer and design researcher and enjoys collaborating with other artists and designers on live projects to raise awareness and to encourage creative thinking in design education. She is currently writing a book about drawing.
